  how do you think theyd respond?

  thanks for the tips! Ive been on the forum for about a year and a half now, sometime under another name...and ive known the TATT about just as long so....yea i have my moments when fear and cult indoctrination tries to convince me this is the true religion and i then promptly pull mysekf back to reality. My thing is i havent regularly attended meeting for a year and i hVent been to a meeting in a month almost. So naturally i dont want to go back....dont like painting a smile on my face and doing the fake....aprt from that i see what wasting your life does to a human...everyday at work insee it. and the fact that kids will be starting school soon. You all understand. Im not making sny hasty choices but im slways exploring options.

  The problem i have wth fading is it makes me live a lie...constantly hiding what i know and sneak around to do research and be on this forum...having to hold it all in and not be totally honest with everyone sucks....i feel like i am only making myself a self-fulfilling prophecy and losing my credibility should i need to argue or state my case...theyll pull the "have u been personally studying? Family worship? No service? Oh thats why youre doubting!!!" And my wife will be played right into their hands...at least thats what i fear.

But what else? The only one i care about who is in is my wife....wouldnt mind if everyone else left me alone lol.

  we've all heard the true story.. william miller, a baptist lay preacher and war hero, carefully worked out the 2nd coming of jesus using the bible and chronology.. he was invited to speak and explain his warnings and proof in many churches.

  tens of thousands heard and believed and waited.. nothing happened.

  the great big nothing was called "the great disappointment.".

  im sure this has been discussed before but i was wondering if anyone has any links to pdf or online versions of some of these so called discredited and banned books of the bible...?

  i've been doing my own research so far but if anyone can help speed it up or point me in the right direction or even just share what they have discovered i'd appreciate it.

  What are the accuracies or validity of these? Are there any that are more valid than the others? That can be traced back to similar dates as both the old and new testies (hehe)

  Lets put it this way, my wife and I were strongly encouraged to push our wedding to as soon as possible, foregoing A wedding ceremony and reception because we had a child born out of wedlock....so loyalty to a contract was pushed to please jehovah without any consideration on how we felt about each other, getting married, monetary issues (and we were dirt poor), eTc. No the hurry was to get married at the courthouse to become publishers and be welcomed int. The congregation so we could associate regularly with everyone. At the time we thought "yes!!!" now when my wife attends weddings the only feeling she has is regret for missing her wedding....

  as of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.

  when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.

  this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.
